Repayment to "Buyers Edge" from Credit Card Treated as Cash Advance or Purchase?

Just wondering if anyone know how repayments to a "Buyers Edge" card is treated if paid with credit card?

And also will I get frequent flyer points on my credit card for the payment. I really want those points!!!

Buyers Edge is one of those things were you get 2 years interest free from places like Harvey Norman etc.

Update: turns out you can't make repayment from a credit card it has to be from a bank account.

    Try it and tell us

  • If you're paying via Bpay, punch in the biller code on Bpay.com.au website to find out what types of payment the biller accepts.
if it only says "Cheque, Savings or Debit Card" then any credit card based payment would be considered as a Cash advance.

AND make sure your credit company accepts bpay, some like CBA doesn't

Someone mentioned its Mastercards that reject bpay from points and required spend

Don't know if thats true, but I had a ANZ visa card and it included bpay

      • You don't earn points on Bpay
