Final Cut Pro - Video Editing Software - Where to buy?

Hey Guys,

I am looking to buy Final Cut Pro for my MacBook Pro.

Do any of you keen bargain hunters have any good purchase suggestions at where I can get a good bargain on this?

    Wait until there's 15%-20% off iTunes gift card and use that to buy from the app store.

    Maybe wait for a iTunes 20% off sale and buy a bunch of gift cards then use them on the Mac App Store?

    You can’t buy it anywhere else officially I don’t think.

      Do they do checks to see if you qualify for the education bundle?

        The only check is at the start, and I believe it's if you have a .edu email. This also gets you the 10% student discount on hardware.

        After you purchase the software you get a product code to redeem, which is linked to your iCloud account forever.

          @Oz8argain: I dunno, try to check out? I've done a student purchase before so can't remember if it 'saves your student status' to your account for a year, or whatever.

          Regardless, once you have the codes and they are redeemed, you're fine for life.

          @Oz8argain: I may be wrong but I think itunes cards won't apply to buying the bundle from the Apple Store. Whereas they will apply if you're buying FCPX from iTunes store.
