Android Budget Phones with Best Battery Life & Dual SIM

If my fantasies are satisfy-able, I'm after at least 7 days with an average of 3 hours talk/browsing per day.

Budget: Up to $290Au including delivery.

Needs to be able to do 3G standby for off-sim (or 4G, but not 2G). I don't know if the above fall into that category.

I bought the Thor E and that is pretty good in endurance mode. I really like the hardware button for it.

Open to anything that will give the battery life.

  • Xiaomi mi A1

    • what is the battery life like for the mi A1?

      • Excellent. You can get a days use out of it without needing to hook it to the powerbank. I've watched about 3 hours of videos on it and the battery dropped about 25-30%.

  • $290 is not "budget"

    • +1

      Yes it is.

  • Moto G5 plus? Cheapest I have seen $240 very import.

    • Regular G5 has a removable battery if that satisfies his requirements.

  • S8

  • Get a overseas version of the Samsung A5 (2017 version), cracking phone, might be able to get it for $300 second hand or refurb. Really it performs like a Pixel, just has a pretty crappy camera. To be honest, if I had to buy an A5 or a Pixel with my hard earn and the camera wasn't a thing I was after, I'd be all over the A5 and pocket the difference!

  • Zenfones. ze552kl if you can stretch, there is an equally good 32gb model.
Don't think they depreciate in value, bit like my ancient Oneplusone.

  • Hey everyone thanks very much for your feedback. I'll probably keep this post kicking (OB permitting) when I get new phones, but today I did an impulsch pruchase!?!? on a bargain through JB.

    Went like this:

    Telstra Offer through JB HIFI
    1. Have a number with a different carrier off-plan - Check
    2. Prepared to go on a $49/Month plan with unlimited calls, SMS and 25Gb Data/Month on 12 month contract - Check
    3. Get $200 JB Gift Voucher, the full amount (or maybe only $100 of which) can be applied immediately - Check

Result = New Motorola G5S for $159 (Currently on special @ $319 if you smile really nicely) on Telstra plan as per above + $50 JB Gift Card in hand = YUM

So this won't really satisfy my battery objectives, but it will
