Seiko discontinues the SARB-17/33/35 and Marinemaster

You can confirm this on the web. The SBDX001 Marinemaster is a $2k usd watch so bleh.

There's two ways they can go. They can either remove these models but I doubt they're doing this. The 17/33/35 sells well so they're most likely improving them.

The Alpinist might go with different colours ie. blue black.

Been thinking about the 17, the 33/35 I dont have any feelings for.

Finally, the answer to the question we have all been asking.

    • I thought that was 42?

I'm sorry about intruding on your forum folks, I know its pretty petty on my behalf given these watches have been posted multiple times here on sale but I guess I'll console myself as being quite pathetic but not quite as pathetic as people who have to criticise a few mins after posting.

It is not petty. Your post is valid advice for anybody considering buying one of these watches.

I declare an official day of mourning for watchnerd

  • 033 is a nice watch.

    • As far as my aesthetics go, the 33/35 was too safe, too conservative and at 38mm probably a tad small and old fashioned for today's taste.

They were probably a hit with the enthusiasts but that doesnt mean that much in the scheme of things?

They're probably going to 40-42mm at the least because you know, big watches.

    • waiting that to go one sale to $330 again…

  • it is time

  • And its great to see amazon and all the outlets hike up prices by $50 and then some. supply and demand at work.

Also means its good for owners whose watches just appreciated.

    • more than $100 which is sad.

  • where to buy an alpinist from now? is it worth waiting for a deal? i fell in love with this watch but the announcement has saddened me and unfortunately i noticed i missed a recent deal for this watch
