Oops, got it mixed up with Fropro. Feel free to neg me into oblivion.

        • +6

Free negs! Sometimes the real deal is in the comments.

        • Neggers rarely leave comments ….requires effort and thought….

    :(

    I'm so sad icecream melts.

    • +5

Best place to keep ice cream is in your tummy.

    • +3

bring a spoon and pig out on the train, or like a portable esky with ice could work. i'm going for the spoon!

    • +1

These ones are hard at first. You have to let it melt before eating. It'll last longer than normal ice cream.

    • +1

this ice cream will take 60+ minutes after handout to melt. It's not creamy like normal ice cream, and so just stay there, a lightly flavoured icicle.

Also, at Sydney Launch they included spoons, so you can eat it roughly 15 minutes after you receive it (it really doesn't melt).

    Username checks out!

Great price - doubt there will be any left after work though

  • I've been wanting to try these for a year, but at $10-12 it's a bit steep.

    • +1

Never heard of them but like trying new things …. Some actually make it onto my shopping list ….. Will bring spoon so not stuck with the crap ones they supply.

    • +1

Yeah same.. One of the PT's at my gym tried it and said it's crap. I figure if you're going to go hard on the ice-cream, do it properly and enjoy the calories! Ben& Jerry's / Connoisseur FTW!

      • Yeah it's shit, turns out if you take all the calories our of ice cream what remains only vaguely resembles ice cream.

  • +9

    low calorie ice cream

    reported.

    • Yeah lo cal …..normally need sugar or fat in icecream or gelato or sorbet..be interesting how they reduced both …

  • +1

    I don't think I could eat more than 9,000…

  • +3

I was interested until I got to the bit about low calorie

    • I still feel that this is a better deal than the bug icecreams from the other day, I saw icecream, and it was a hot day, then I saw bugs and noped out of there

  • +1

Beware when you open it up that it might look already half eaten especially if you take it home as it'll have time to melt! These have freezing issues so not like your standard normal ice cream.

That's because there's a lot of air in the mixture. This is what we get when fattiesconsumers demand low energy foods — less food in the packaging.

    • Haven't had any issues with this myself.

      • +1

Same here, I've had a few tubs and they seemed normal :)

      • I've had two with problems and it's actually a known problem as well. So, thought it's worth a mention :)

        • Its likely an issue with your store and faulty freezer/staff procedures.

All icecream melts and goes funny once it refreezes.

Halo top won't melt by the time you get home, I've purchased plenty in the past.

  • I understand that it's hard to make something tasty from soy enhanced blended cardboard but to call this ice cream is just stretching reality a little too far. This frozen protein shake flavored stuff is best left with it's 9999 companions to be tossed straight into a bin at the station. I would not consider making a detour or even stretching out your arm to receive a tub of this frozen goop attempting to pretend it's ice cream.
We had tubs of it sitting in the freezer at work with one bite taken out of them each until the cleaner tossed them out.

Free though so good deal. Enjoy.

The largest portion of the product is Milk and cream (61%), eggs

I don't know what you are eating, but its not halo top.

Maybe its soy milk you left in your freezer?

I disagree… It is very much Ice Cream, at least the multiple tubs I have bought. I loved it so much I ate more than I normally would have from a normal tub… which kinda defeated the purpose of being "healthy" haha.

      • a whole tub is approx 320 calories - eating a tub of Halo would prob be equivalent of a few scoops of ben and jerrys

    • dont think you ate halo top tbh

  • How big a tub? Full sized ones or those tiny sample ones?

    • +1

      Supermodel meal portion

      • So just a spoonful for a photo, then tossed?

    • +1

      Full size, 473ml

  • +2

I wouldn't cross the street for low-calorie anything.

  • +2

I got this last giveaway in Sydney. Unfortunately didn't really like it.

    • how big is the tub?

      • +2

1 pint (487mL), usually around $10 at supermarkets, ~$7 when on special. Grab multiple!

  • +1

The vanilla flavour is pretty good.

  • +1

The Candy Bar flavour is one of the only items I have tried that breaks the taste vs calorie ratio. Incredible for the calories!! Keep in mind there is less volume than the more plain flavours though…

  • +1

    got one, thanks op

    • Wheres abouts in Flinders do you get them?
Many left? was planning on going after work

      • +1

literally the middle of the station, next to info. they were topping up when I was there waiting at 3. people got too pushy and crazy over free icecream, people pulling me back to get infront etc.

I actually stood back and waited for it to die down as I don't do well when people get grabby.

Only had birthday cake as far as I saw, and some people grabbed multiple (a lady grabbed 4 and put it in her bag..greedy)

I think you should be alright, but try to get there as early as possible i guess

    • My pleasure - glad to help!

  • -2

Looks to be past the turnstiles so not really free.

    • People could train into flinders from a station with no turnstyles, grab ice cre, turn around

  • +1

Got the Birthday cake one.. I think there was a Mint one too… Thanks OP! 😊

    • +1

      You’re most welcome!

    • I only saw birthday cake :(
