High Quality Posters for Wall

Hi,

Looking to buy some big'ish posters for my wall in my office. about 20-50cm x 40-70cm.

Anyone vouch for a place that is a decent price and the quality is not something that'll fade within a year?

I bought a Kramer (Seinfeld) poster that lasted really well but sadly I damaged it a bit too much after moving a few times. It also creeps the GF out, (no idea why, it's lovable Kramer!)

Themes can be anything normal.

Cars, landscape, cities, Seinfeld, Futurama.

BTW:

Not so much interested in poster ideas, more so poster retailers I can trust.

Real motivational posters are crying out to be made fun of. The "demotivational" ones are often hilarious.

      • OMG! Demotivational posters are the best. +1 for that…

Or, make your own from movie/video game quotes… I have one from my favourite line from Destiny by Cayde 6…

“Teamwork. It makes the dream work…”

        • I do like the “there is no “I” in team, but there is a “me”.

I've seen a few Banksy prints - they look quite nice

    • No banksy, no fake art.

I had the same idea and used big W photos to print a poster of a piece of art that I like, picking it up on Friday so I’ll let you know what I think of the quality

      Thanks!

  • Blue dog or AllPosters.

Frame it, or get it block-mounted.

  • Roy Lichtenstein ALWAYS!

  • Go to the local cinema and get movie posters. The real ones. They are printed on really good card stock, printing is really good and vibrant and are about the size you want. Cinemas will get more posters than they need, so you can usually find ones that haven’t been used.

I have heaps for my daughters room. For some godly unknown reason, at 5 years of age, she wanted Deadpool. So now she has a Deadpool poster in her room… never seen the movie, but wanted the poster…

    • Got once before, they are the best.

Problem is, there are no good movies out and I don't think I'll be allowed them without an insider friend.

      • Don’t know about insider friend. The staff get the rat the good ones before you get to them, but no problem buying them. My local cinema has a huge box on display of poster, so you don’t have to be an insider. If a moving is coming out that you like, just go in and ask them about buying a poster.

I have put my name down for months before a movie came out, just so I got the first pick on the posters. I am sure something will come up. A friend of mine has posters like this in his office and he takes to them with a black texta and signs them for shits and giggles.

        • I would absolutely love a Brooklyn Nine Nine poster hahah.

I'll try your idea hopefully, but it seems like a lot of things have to fall in place.

  • Visit your local uni campus, they will probably have a poster seller setting up shop soon. I still have 6 or 7 posters from my old college room ten years ago that are going strong (a few rips here and there from not being stored well). I covered the walls of my toilet in them so there's something interesting to look at while you're "going"
