Rate Officeworks Staff after Making Phone Contact

When making a phone call to the Officeworks order line, they get you to rate them from 1 - 7 on how good the staff member was, and again as to whether you would recommend Officeworks to a friend.

Got a rather unhelpful staff member today, and after the call, there was no option to provide these ratings.

I wonder how that works? If a staff member chooses, can they just switch off the after call feedback feature?

Extremely doubtful. I have worked in retail before and there's usually nothing you can do as a staff member to trigger (or not trigger) random customer feedback surveys. If you're just a frontline salesperson you have KPI's to meet and there are customer surveys to make sure you're meeting them.

They will take a random sample of customer interactions, maybe a few from every store and then use that to build statistics about how each store is performing and which store needs a visit from the area manager.

There are still ways you can get a complaint in. Twitter, FB, IG, their main website, ringing a local store, Current Affair, and of course the ever popular Ozbargain forums…

  • The feedback thing is not random, as while waiting on hold before getting to a customer service person, the blurb says please take a few moments to complete the feedback when you have finished talking to a customer service representative (or words to that effect).

  • OMG talking to officeworks has to be second only surpassed by the joy of having to ring the Government (Medicare/Centrelink etc)

Speak with a rock before talking to officeworks if you need some experience.
