HK/Macau Travel SIMs

has anyone been to Hong Kong & Macau recently and bought a travel sim? I'm keen for some recommendations.

leaving on friday, have 6 nights in HK then 3 nights in Macau then straight home, i'm a reasonably heavy data user so would probably aim at ~2-5gb range.

i had a good look around a month or two back but couldn't really decide on anything definitive, a lot of sims were 7 days only, or didn't roam between the two countries properly. i think the conclusion i came to was to get a 1-week one in HK then a new one when we got to Macau.

if anyone's got any better advice i'd love to hear it!

also keen on hearing recommendations for a place to hire a bike and ride around a bit, we were going to do a lot of hiking/walking but my wife's recovering from a broken ankle so longggg walks are out of the question now :D

    I live in HK

    China mobile Hk do cheap pre-paid sims with data which may also be able to roam in Macau. Buy at any 7-Eleven.

    Biking - there’s a good place to hire bycle out Tai Po / Sha Tin and rice along water front. Easy to get to from MTR http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/see-do/great-outdoors/cy…

    Hiking is amazing in HK- dragons back was voted no1 hike in Asia. Plenty of easier ones out there though as it’s medium difficultly

      thanks for that! CMHK do a "big bay area" 10-day 2gb sim which should work well for me :)

      thanks for the link to the bike place, i think we'll give that a shot. was planning on Dragon's back but will see how the first few days of walking goes for my wife, at least there's busses we can catch back if we need to!
