Anyone Own / Used a Beko Dishwasher?

Hi all,

Our current dishwasher is misbehaving, and I've fixed it as much as I am comfortable doing myself. Not really worth paying someone to fix (was a cheap used unit purchase on gumtree a couple of years ago), so we are in the market for a new dishwasher.

I've got my eye on a Beko DFN16420W. From this link, I'd get it for $435 including delivery and removal of the old unit:
https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/beko-dfn16420w-freestand…

What I link about it:

  • Price
  • All stainless steel interior
  • 5 year warranty (via registration)
  • Most comments from owners indicate that it is fairly quiet and cleans really well

Based on the above it seems like a good deal to me, but I've never heard of the brand before (I believe they are better known in Europe though?)

Before I make the purchase, is there many people on here that own / have used one that can comment on how good they are?

Thanks

I don't see that this has a warranty for 5 years.
    Where's the link showing this?

Edit: OK .. you must register before 90 days. On Beko website

How can you go wrong tbh! For that price

    Cheers

  • Beko is a Turkish brand and is very popular in Europe, mainly due to their pricing. They were very much a budget brand, but now make some high end products as well especially since they bought out Grundig of Germany.

For that price, inc delivery, removal AND a 5 year warranty…..you really can't go wrong.

  • A Beko dishwasher was already installed in my house when we bought it a year ago, I believe it's 2-3 years old now.
It's fairly quiet and washes very well, much better than the dishwashers I've had previously.

I can't speak for the reliability, but we've had no issues. You can't really go wrong with a 5 year warranty though.

Appliances Online have been great to deal with as well in my experience.

  • Yes, I thought that it was a pretty good deal particularly with the warranty.

Agreed on Appliances Online, I've dealt with them a lot for whitegoods and have always been happy.

  • buy it already

    • As it happens, I just did!

It looks like the pricing is part of a promo that ends tomorrow, so that made up my mind.

Will report back once I've lived with it for a little while and let you all know what I think of it.

      Thanks for the replies.

  • Good choice Mr626. It looks great.

    Couple of things:
    - go to their eBay store and pick one up with your PICK5 code to get it for $413.25
    - I got one a week ago, but they haven't delivered it yet due to stock unavailability. Estimated time is 14 March at the moment. Not a deal breaker, but better you know
    - I don't think we will be disappointed with this machine. I did a lot of homework to get it!

    • Just saw that you already bought it. Good choice buddy!

Thanks! Ah, I didn't realise they had an ebay store. Will know for next time.

        • They have had another price reduction to $429. They had indicated to me that they will refund the difference to me.

Take a screenshot and ask for your money back closer to your delivery date.

Do you know what your estimated date of delivery is? Thanks!

          @Pharming:

My delivery date is in a couple of weeks. Not sure why- we are in a rural/non-city area so that might be the reason.

  • Beko is pretty well known in the UK (due to its cost I guess) and being Turkish made isn't too bad, some basic Bosch dishwashers are made in turkey and so are some top of the range siemens and gaggenau integrated fridges.

    Here's an article mentioning Beko:

  • Well…I'm still waiting :-(

I ordered this on 4/3/18. Delivery date ended up being shown as 21/3 because of lack of stock, which wasn't ideal, but I figured I'd make do. I managed to 'half' repair my existing unit (it works, but leaks a bit- am able to catch the leaks in a tray).

Today, I find out that there's now further delays and that I won't get my new unit for at least another week! Regardless of the quality of the unit itself, if Beko can't even maintain stick levels I'm not very impressed. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence for long term ownership either (are parts going to be available for future repairs?)

Speaking to Appliances Online today, and they said a lot of people who have ordered Bekos are currently in the same boat. I've fired off an email to Beko themselves to try and get an answer, but at this stage I'm about ready to get a refund and go for another brand.

If you are considering ordering a Beko, make that its in stock first

  • Dishwasher finally arrived. Seems to work really well, build quality seems good and there's a good range of wash programs. Just a shame it took so long to get here!

  • Have had this for almost a year now. Still working really well. The only thing that has gone 'wrong' is that the writing on the on/off button has started to wear off.

    • how's the Beko dishwasher now?

I'm looking at a Beko myself, after having some problems with a 5.5 year old LG dishwasher.

  • Hi, Are you happy with dishwasher ?

    Thanks
