Laptop Backpack with a Large Compartment

Hello everybody how goes the F5 key =).

I'm hoping that the community could help me out in finding a pretty good quality laptop backpack with a large compartment for shopping/groceries for about under $100, I know I won't get the best quality for $100, but I can go higher if the quality improves.

My criteria,
Laptop compartment.
Text book compartment.
Large compartment for shopping, groceries.

Update
Backpack size about 30-40L capacity
A single large compartment that is about the width of a large loaf of bread is perhaps my main crytiria.

I did recently purchase this Amazon backpack, but the stitching is coming undone at one of the shoulder straps, it hasn't even carried anything heavy :(.
Where the shoulder straps attach to the bag there is only 2 rows of stitching.

Any comments are appreciated :).
Thanks for reading you deserve candy ;).

I had a further look at their sale and they have up to 50% off all their 17" laptop backpacks. They have about 20 to choose from between $40-100. Mostly High Seirra brand.

Well spotted. The black one for $41 features 26L capacity and OP's Amazon purchase features 27L.

I don't know the brand American Tourister, they only have one year warranty.

        • +2

American Tourister is a great brand.

        • +1

In the past, just knowing the brand was American Tourister was a guarantee of quality. Now, you have to research the specific item/model. Kinda like Levi's jeans.

@PJC: I checked this out and both American Tourister and High Sierra are owned by Samsonite. Interestingly they only offer 12 month warranty on American Tourister and Lifetime warranty on High Sierra.

@Goldcoater: The best bargain I ever purchased through OzBargain was American Tourister.

@PJC: OMG $8, yep bargain of the year.

Wystri, search on eBay for the "Xiaomi business backpack" I think its 17".

Very good quality with water-repellant material. And it's like $50, that's cheap compared to other big name brands

If 44L capacity is desirable this is worth considering.

    • +2

I'd have thought all the 17" backpack would be around the same amount of litres. Obviously not as OP's bag was 26.6 litres, my bag is 34 litres and yours is 44. Huge difference in sizes.

They also have a page of 17.3" laptop backpacks that includes Samsonite, Targus and High Sierra. Also on sale.

My favourite bag is ( and I have a few…) the boss beaver from Milspec Monkey made in the USA. Outstanding bag worth every dollar.

Yeah, it wasn't exactly a cheap backpack.

Great range of Blackwolf, Caribee and Samsonsite, High Sierra on sale between $40-$120, with free shipping for orders over $75. I would recommend Blackwolf, Samsonite or High Sierra. Go for a long warranty.

Get a backpack with wheels and save your back/shoulders.

    • Yeah, save those muscles from exercise, you can't be too careful about not exerting any effort to do everyday activities. Sound advice.

      • Yes your back and shoulders make massive muscles from walking.

Its also good to know no one has ever received any type of back (joint or muscle) or spinal (disc) injury from carrying heavy loads.

        not exerting any effort

Yeah carrying x2 3L milks + all the rest of the groceries is ultra light!

I have this one. Haven't used it much but I think it's great. Reviews are pretty good, I think.
