Buying Gaming Monitor 144hz 1080p (Suggestions)

Hi Guys,

Now I am looking for a monitor to upgrade the baddies i have at home.. asus 24" and a compaq 24" 60hz
Asus is the primary and the compaq takes about 5 mins to boot up from sleep mode when i come home from work… assuming it is on its way out?
Anyways i want to upgrade the main monitor…

I have an i5 8600k
asus 370k mobo
only 8gb ram… atm
ssd drive
1060 asus 6gb GFX

looking for suggestions around $300 to purchase tomorrow via Umart / MSY or even Ebay, Amazon, Kogan?

  • Which titles do you play? Will that set up even push 144 fps to take advantage of monitor?

    • Yes 1060 is fine for 1080p 144hz.

      • In CSGO and Overwatch maybe?

        • My 970 gets 200fps in overwatch 1080p medium. 1060 is better so should be fine.

  • well im leaning towards this monitor

decent reveiws, good size is freesync but that can be disabled…

    • Before you buy you could go see it in person, 1080p on 31in may not look so great.

I have the Kogan 24" 144hz one, which is pretty decent for the price (when on sale). But atm it's at full price so I would get something else. I managed to get mine for $189 using some of those Kogan coupons whilst it was also on sale. It's great aside from the non-adjustable stand, so I just got a cheap adjustable VESA stand for $20.

LinusTechTips reviewed the Crossover Fast monitor recently. It might meet your needs? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2sVe90hTA8
