Good Cheap Clumping Cat Litter

Costco currently doesn't sell Catsan Ultra which is a clay based litter that I used to use, so I thought I might look out for some different clumping litters before I have to order it off petcircle.
Anyone have recommendations of clumping cat litter which doesn't leave too much tracking/pebbles, and doesn't make too much dust, and doesn't stink up the house?
Thanks

I like Breeder's Choice paper-based kitty litter best.
I get it from Petbarn when they have a 25-30% off offer - which is frequently - and I go through Cashrewards.
30lt pkt is then around $15-$16, which is a good price.

  • I use a bottom layer of Kmart crystals and a top layer of the cheapest paper based. The paper keeps the dust down, the crystals absorb most of the yucky stuff leaving a cleaner, less stinky paper layer on top.

    • Do you feel like you have to clear the crystals often though? I tried out the Catsan crystals once, but I felt like I was using so much more litter per month than normal :(

No. I usually replace the whole litter once per week on garbage night but I'll clean out the poos when I see them. (We keep the litters in the toilet so I'll just flush the poos with mine). By week's end much of the crystals are caked and stinky, but the paper on top masks that and still gives the cats a seemingly good clean litter to dig around in. It works well for us.

        • Thanks thevofa! I'll give it a try!

The Aldi clumping litter is awesome

  • Aldi clumping litter.

  • Coles has a small bag that's cheap enough. I mix it in with a bit of regular & it still seems to work fairly well.
