Agree. The application is limited. But then I still remembered when I first saw a 80486 — "what?! You need a heatsink on this thing?" Maybe in 10 years you'll get heat sink on everything and a big fan on your wifi card so it can stay cool transmitting 10Gbit/sec over the air…
Good price yes, but really only heavily overclocked ram needs to be cooled via heatsinks - and people overclocking their ram are not going to be buying generic ram, which is generally the only ram coming without heatsinks these days. BUT is a good price if you're after them. :-)
