Need for Speed- Hot Pursuit - $49.95 @ DSE

100

Saw the $48 Hot Pursuit from GAME on here (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/364220), but later realised it was only a 2hr online special.

after some shopping around i got DSE to price match 'GAME', but long story short…use docket to price match anywhere you like

I want to hear the long story

  • According to their website, this is the standard price at DSE:
    http://dicksmith.com.au/dsau/navigation/product_details.jsp?…

  • No need to price match it is on their website (in store only) for $49.94 (http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG7467WACKY/ps3-nfs-hot-purs…). I bought it on Sunday, guy that served me said it was probably a mistake and should have said online only.

    Edit: beaten by 1min

Bought it for $39 last week with the staff super discount

  • Nice price - I had to show them their website. A few copies left in the canberra centre dick smith.

  • I went down to DSE at Bourke St mall today in Melbourne and managed to pick up a copy @ $49.94.

They weren't happy about it, and gave me a lot of grief over it.

It scanned at $79, and then they looked up the DSE website which also stated $79. But then I asked them to key in the exact web address that I had printed, and they said that was a different product code. Ironically, according to them it was supposed to be a web-only special and that the website was supposed to be fixed on Sunday.

    • I had a similar experience at Niddrie.
Was told it was a weekend special, I mentioned the website didn't say that. He looked it up, grumbled a lot and gave it to me for the website price.I pointed out the XBox version did say wacky weekend but the PS3 one didn't.

  • Ahh you reckon Macquarie will price match without much hesitation OP?

I just did a search on dick smith's website for hot pursuit and it comes up with both the 79.97 and 49.94 prices for the standard edition. The 49.94 price clearly states in store only - so they should have no problem honouring that. Model number is Cat#: DSAU_YG7467WACKY.

      • Yeh when you take it to the counter it will scan as DSAU_YG7467 - the $79 price.

  • Purchased it this afternoon at Dick Smith Endeavour Hills for $49.94. I rang them before to confirm stock and also confirm that I could still get this deal: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG7467WACKY/ps3-nfs-hot-purs…. They said that price didn't look right but they would honour it.

  • If you can, use their 'Check Store Stock' button and place an order for collection. Then there won't be any hassles. I can't believe the product webpage is still up after all the hassles the stores gave people!
