What`s the claims process like with World2Cover?

After being worried about travelling with China Southern Airlines I arrived in Japan, (the flights were great by the way) to find my main peice of luggage was lost. All my clothes and various belongings gone. Has anyone had to make a claim with World2Cover before? Ive never made an insurance claim in my life so no idea what to expect. Im currently without a change of clothes so Im stressed and nervous about what the process will be like. I dont really have any proof for what clothing and shoes I had in there. Only the loss form from the airport.
Is it smooth or a bit of an ordeal?

    Have you called them? I'd be calling or contacting them as per your policy as soon as possible to tell them exactly what has happened and ask what process you need to follow.

    You should have received a document that outlines what you're covered. If luggage is lost for more than 12hr (or 24hr, can't remember), they'll compensate you for the replacement clothes you buy, up to a certain amount depending how many luggages were missing.

    If you don't know what you bought (insurance) call them.

  • Ive already made a claim online and waiting to hear back, so was just wondering what the process is like. Wasnt really in the mood for a phone conversation after the long flight and trip to accomodation with kids etc

        Been great so far to be honest. They've covered everything. One claim they settled though, they missed a receipt and charged me excess, even though I paid for no excess. I have notified them and they seem to be looking into it. I'll update you with the results.
