Xbox One 2-Player Games Recommendations

Hello,

I recently got a Xbox One and I am after some recommendations for good two player games that I can play with my girlfriend. We are looking for couch co-op games (two controllers on one tv, not online multiplayer). My preference would be for games we can play campaigns together, I'm not interested in online multiplayer and I don't think our ADSL internet would cope with it anyway.

Sports and racing games aren't for us. If they is a good arcade racer I might be interested though. The games I currently have are Forza 3, rocket league and COD infinite warfare.

    Diablo 3 is great couch game, me my wife and my eldest had fun running maps and building characters.

    Divinity looks cool but haven't tried it.

    Spelunky, OverCooked, Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax, The Escapists 2 and also Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (This is an Xbox 360 title, which still runs on the Xbox one.)

    Rocket league also is a good coop game, however it's a soccer game with cars and has nothing to do with racing. I hate sports game but Rocket League is a bit of an exception.

      Legends is on natively while Origins and Legends 360 versions are backwards compatible.

    Sounds like you need a Switch some of the best Co-op games i've played seem to be there.

    TBH both my Xbox and PS all contain selfish titles things that i prefer to play on my own, i'm not a huge fan of split screens so even the ones i could i generally don't.

    Only exceptions so far have been sports or arcade style games like Street fighter as an example.

    I can highly recommend 7 days to Die it's split screen co-op and a lot of fun. The wife and I play this quite a bit, she's not really into playing video games but she loves this one… so much we ended up getting a second console so she could have a screen to herself haha. You can usually find it when they have online sales, I got the Telltale Undead Survival Bundle on sale for $29.95

    Borderlands 2 has co-op campaign IIRC, also Portal 2 is a xbox360 game but the co-op is decent.

    There's a new game coming out next week called A Way Out which looks extremely solid and is only co-op:

    I think I remember reading somewhere that the campaign is roughly 6-8 hours long.

    gears of war series. all of em have coop campaign.

    Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris is something like Diablo but without loots so might be simpler or you can also look at lovers in a dangerous spacetime (yeah title is a bit odd) but is a pretty short and coop fun game.

    Could be worth trying minecraft, not so much a campaign but it's good especially if she is the creative type the open world could be appealing.
