  • Not bad prices to the cookies

  • Hmmmm. I got a similar flight but added a return from RAR-ATI-RAR including an overnight stay in Auckland for about $730pp. Bought on 27 Feb for an early Sept to 12 Sept 2018 sort of time frame.

  • anyone have any suggestions on where to stay ? interests include photography, kayaking, snorkelling, swimming etc I can't stop reading Tom Neale's "An Island to Oneself"

    • I’m staying back to back at the Pacific Resorts-Raratonga and PR-Atitaki for my stays. Got two luxury escapes offers and timed them to be one after the other. Place looks great!

      • Opps just realized I pm,ed the wrong person

        • Haha. Yeah but thanks for the information though. As for me, I'll be basically Resorting most of the time but will take the odd day or so to check out the area outside of the Pacific Resorts places.

    • +1

GF and I have been to raro twice… Id stay on the western side of the island as you get some nice sunsets great for photos. anywhere from the Arorangi district to Muri beach is where you'll find something within your price range.

photography: If you dont mind bush walking then go on Pa's nature walk to the "needle" great opportunity to take some pics.. about 4rs in total and yo9u get lunch (salad roll and a drink)

Island night: Definitely do this (if your into that sort of thing) culture, music We did the Te Vara Night.. a lil pricey but there are other companys that do it.

Car Hire: to save on hotel transfers you can pre book a car from island car and bike hire.. get of plane and drive to hotel. When you drop car off at airport on the way home just leave the keys in the box inside the terminal after youve gone thru security.

When arriving at airport you'll find various pamphlets that will give you discounts on tours etc.. grab as many as you need.

Not sure about kyacking.. dont think there is any to be honest.

If you want to do some serous snorkeling then you'll prob have to hire a boat that specializes in that.. although check out captain tamas.. they cater for quite a few activities.

Pm me if you need advice on other stuff
