Best Budget Glasses Dresden/Oscar Wylee?

I need to buy some new glasses, promptly, after a couple of weeks in which I lost one pair and broke another.
I have bought budget glasses from Specsavers before, and ordered online from Oscar Wylee. Both were quite good, save for the fact that I have also bought Warby Parker before, USA delivery only, and for quality they were way better than anything I have bought here.
Dresden looks interesting, does anyone have any experience with their glasses?
BTW, I need only standard lenses, nothing fancy and, as already demonstrated, on my watch they get lost and broken.

  • I get most of my glasses from clearly. Receive them within about 3-4 business days. I did try glasses from Oscar Wylee when they used to send you 5 dummy pairs, but I didn't like the fit

If you have private health extras, check if your provider has an actual store as it may work out cheaper (I'm with Bupa and it didn't). I bought from clearly a few months ago, and after all their discounts (at the time they were doing 2 for 1) and my extras cover, it was 2 pairs (1 normal glasses and 1 sunglasses) for $16

  • Had a good experience with EyeBuyDirect.
I think they let you return your first purchase and you get full refund (returns paid for too) or something. But they let me just keep the extra pair, and refunded me still!

The current pair i wear every day was around 40 bucks. Better quality than my specsavers pair from several years back (~$100)

  • I just got a pair from Specsavers, it's the $89 frame am very happy with them. The lady said they used to be selling at $299 but they're last season model so may pay to ask them about this.

BTW all mine get broken, except for a pair I got in Saigon 7 years ago for $USD20. They've held up like no-ones business.

  • Bought two pairs for $199 at Specsavers. One regular prescriptions and the other a pair of prescription sunnies.
