  • Anyone get the codeword for the first scavenger hunt? I've found 24 of 30 so far.

    • I got to 27, no way to remember where they all were though…

      • Yeah, i've left it open for now so i can have a quick look every now and then.

          got them all.
the technique I used to find the last 3 was thus:
don't have the window full screen
touch the edge of the window as though to resize and you get the double horizontal mouse pointer.
The mouse will remain like that when you move it back into the picture.
wiggle about until the pointer changes back to the hand.
repeat technique to narrow down the location and look for the orange flash.

there are more in the lower left corner than you think.

          @nevetsg:
or just grab the code from the post above. but where is the fun in that?

        • @nevetsg: Mouse pointer didn't change doing this.

        • @Phalaxis:

Oh, just grab from above then.

        • @nevetsg: All good. Just wanted to see if I could find them all first.

if you have chrome browser pres F12 then use the select element mouse pointer selection in the top left hand corner of the prmopt window when it pops up. Select the image then click the expand arrow on the "Src" tag and hover over the top of the lines of code that fall below it and it will show you their location on the image. Then just click through them all until they all disappear from the code window. Not as much fun I realise as finding them all yourself but good for those last pesky few.

    • this method is awesomely easy. take my vote.

thank you as always for all the effort you go to, to find the answers for those of us who try our best but just cant seem to always get there

I agree with loulou1 - thanks for all the effort finding them and then posting the code for those of us who found it a bit difficult finding those last few.
My escapades should make a few giggle out there.

After blindly spending the first 15 minutes not even knowing what I am looking for. I thought it might be one of those puzzles where you find the items in a drawing or photo. So I sat staring at the picture and couldn't see a thing.
Then spent another 15 minutes when I first tried nevetsg's method and couldn't get it to work, and then tried Grayden84's method and couldn't figure out what the "Src" tag was.

Then by accident, I finally had an epiphany when I figured out that placing the cursor on top of it is what triggers the item. D'Oh

After I enlarged it on a big screen TV and started going over it, I spent another 30 minutes and only managed to find 26.
I'm obviously not very good at this given I spent an hour and still couldn't find them all, give me number puzzles like Suduko any day. :-)

    Thanks again.

  • Is anyone else having a similar problem or is this just haunting me?

So far spent over 2.5 hours trying to find all the items in the third hunt but the page keeps going blank.
I have tried four times and I find somewhere between 30 and 40 items out of 50 then the picture disappears. The rest of the page is there as normal including the advertising and all the buttons at the bottom of the page, but no picture. I opened the first 2 in Chrome. Forever the optimist, I then switched to Firefox and the last one in Edge hoping that a different browser would fix it, unfortunately, it did not.
I have taken screenshots but there is no way to post them here.

As you could understand, I am starting to go bald through all the hair pulling because I have to keep starting back at the beginning with O items found each time.

EDIT - It is OK now that someone has kindly posted the final codeword - thank you. Now to go and find some superglue to stick my hair back on. :-)

    • Hmm no I didn’t have issues using Chrome, though I can imagine what it would have felt like (having spent ~4 hours). Sorry that happened :(
