It’s for 2 adults and the plan is to visit attractions around and relax at a nice resort which could be within $1000 for the 8 days.

Tripadvisor is best - although heres a deal thats south of where you want in Kuta.

Good deals, but as with all good deals read the term and conditions.
Also pay attention to location of the hotel $1000 for 8 nights will get you a nice place
How many people? How old?
What do you intend to do in Bali? Eg. Visit attractions around the island, hang out at the beach, surfing, hang out at the resort/pool, night clubbing, etc.
