2 seconds and found a cheaper one in AU

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/162783109588

I am sure there is cheaper, and even around $1 if you get it from China.

OP knew its not the cheapest, but he insisted for WHATEVER reason to post it.

    They're not from Sydney.
If you click their profile it says "Based in China, anew_88 has been an eBay member since 24 Jul, 2011"

    • They are not a "local business" but they could be drop shipping or just putting item location as Sydney but shipping from China.

This post was in trouble as soon as it said "Although not the cheapest"

  • I was always wondering will the magnet killing the phone?

I have experience with this type of magnetic phone holder. They are very handy but every now and then an accidental sweep will knock the phone off. Sometimes it is pain in the b..t. but I am still fond of it. It will not kill the phone but, the magnet might cause the screen to go blank when the magnet happens to be on a particular side of the phone (Samsung S4, a metal plate is glued to the back of the plastic casing). Apparently, it works exceptionally well with Samsung S7 plus (my wife's phone) because it has a metal casing and has no such problem. Hope that help. Keep in mind that the NFC will not work with the metal plate on Samsung S4. S7 does not require the metal plate to be glued on.

This is not a deal, its just the normal price

  • Zapals had a free one with shipping back at the beginning of February. Still waiting for mine.

Ebay is getting out of hand with "local business" and they are not, I see a lot of "Darwin NT" but shipping times are 18-26 days.
This was a decoy by the Ebay sellers where they have someone in Australia provide them with a local address and verification code for them to place "local business".
It ramped up once Ebay had a search "Australia only" option.

contacted Ebay several times, but yeah, we know how THAT goes.

Then there is the price range problem.
where you list an item from lowest price including shipping and it shows "$1-$15"
But the item you want is $15 and there is one item listed at $1 which is either always out of stock or something stupid.

This is to manipulate the search since everyone always goes to sort by "cheapest including shipping"

  • co incidentally bought this product last week from this seller as the new car isn't suitable for the silicon mat placement.same price, arrived in a few days so I can confirm it was local. works really well in a near vertical dash placement
