Wireless earphones recommendation - Gym / running (< $150)

Currently have two different sets of wireless earphones that I use at the gym, but both aren't ideal:

Meizu EP51s - OK overall, but regardless of which tip I use they just fall out during any kind of cardio

MPOW Cheetah 2 - Decent sound, and stay in pretty well for all kinds of activities. Love the way they wrap around my head and stay in place. But! a) After about 45 minutes of use, the right side of my head starts aching (closest to the receiver) which has me worried about implications of cheap radio tech up against the side of my head. b) they look STUPID! — Seriously can't stand the way they look on my head whenever I see them on in the mirror

Can anyone recommend some good wireless earphones (either true wireless or joined with a cable) that are low of the expense side, but do the job really well for both weights work and cardio?

Having a look at the Jaybird X3 which I've seen recommended a few times, but I'm wondering if that's really the best bang for buck out there. Anyone have any experience they can share with the various wireless models?

or maybe a Bluedio. I've only got a single pair (Bluedio TE) and found they are a little jankier compaired to the Meizu, but they are often cheaper. They are apparently going for $15.99 USD on Aliexpress.

Very well balanced, good sound and battery life.

  • Shure 215se

BT version would probably have to come from over seas to meet budget or with normal cable they are under your budget locally, fit inside ear flush not sticking out, cable hooks over top. Sound isolating so good for drowning out noise in general better than N/C

One of the best sounding cheaper earphones you can buy.

I have a pair of X3s. They sound great and the Jaybird app is awesome. However, they drop out a lot. The drop out is only brief, but they are very frequent.

    • Must be your phone, I have zero dropouts.

      • I doubt it. My phone doesn't drop out with any of the other half dozen bluetooth devices I use.

  • Bought a pair of X3s about 2 months ago, I use it for Boxing, 5km runs and Gym. It rarely drops out for me, stays in comfortably once you get the right fit. Charges quickly and lasts forever. Super happy with them. Would recommend.

    • lasts forever

Sure if forever is 2 or 3 hours.

      • If you want me to quantify it, i use it throughout the week where i train 6x 1 hr sessions then i would charge.

Please elaborate how you achieve 2-3hrs?
