Come on aja12, BA is being helpful here, stop Being Askhole. Just kidding ;)

      • I though OP was Being Askhole?

Not that I even know what it means..

        • +1

I strongly recommend you google what an 'askhole' is.
          In a nutshell:
An askhole is basically anyone that is constantly asking for someone's advice and then don't use it or do the opposite of what they were advised to.

          Because knowledge is power :D

  • No stores with stock in SA :(

  • I mean there's stock at Bathurst? lol…

Holy moly that's a lot. Hard at work ;)

  • Im looking for a set of overear headphones. Which one out of those do you guys recommend? So torn between the choices

    • +1

I haven't got any but i would suggest get these shortlisted with ratings which will help you to choose meanwhile.

    • I probably recommend the Sony h.ear on 2 based on reviews, as it doesn't seem far off from their flagship 1000XM2, one review I read actually said he thought they were better. Its a pity as the 1000xm2 was only like $30 more, but sold out now.

And imo, the 1000XM2 is too big.

      • How is the ANC and sound quality of the Sony 1000X?

        • If you read most reviews, people usually agree that it has the best ANC in the market, even better than Bose. Also sound quality is really good too, only losing to higher end bluetooth headphones such as Bowers & Wilkins PX

However, saying all that I still chose the Bose QC35ii over the 1000xm2 because of comfort and looks (I hate the 1000xm2 looks, too bulky), also I don't like touch controls, I prefer hard buttons.

        • @bruc3: Sorry I mean the ANC and the sound quality of the WI1000X over the 1000xm2. I do not like the bulky design either.

Bose has the best anc of any device, when tested scientifically for raw amount of noise cancelled.

But audio quality is where people complain about Bose. And complain is less complaint, and more they prefer the sound out of others.

Id go the Bose, because it is the ANC you are buying them for surely.

        • @MeateaW:

The ANC thing has been contentious between the QC35 and the 1000XM2 - I think, having A/Bd them, that the Sony is better at ANC. However, it's pretty close.

The QC35s are more comfy (feels like you're wearing nothing) but the 1000XM2 aren't uncomfortable at all - it's just the the Bose are more comfy.

I thought the Sonys sounded way better, and seeing as I thought they had better ANC, it was the Sonys all the way for me.

But honestly, all ANC headphones sound crap because they play the noise cancelling waves out of the same drivers they play sound from, so they're all tuned in a strange way.

I'd love to hear the Bower & Wilkins ones, but I think that no matter what, all ANC and especially Bluetooth headphones are going to sound like hot garbage compared to their wired brethren.

Pick the one that pisses you off the least, and get on with your lives. It'll all be fine.

  • buy from a different store like they tell you…..

I do, and if you cant't get these get something else, from another store, like they tell you.

Sadly there are no more WH1000MXB2 left, but if you’re a little bass heavy h.ear on 2 is actually quiet good besides the sound leaking on high volumn compare to 1000X2.

    • I also think the hear on 2 looks better than the 1000xm2.

      • But the thing is 1000mx2 provides a better ANC and it comes with a hard traveling case. I was hoping to get a 1000mx2 well I’ll get a h.ear on 2 instead after reading all the reviews

I probably prefer loud good, than quiet good, since we are talking about headphones / sound etc

    • I've been looking to buy some good wireless headphones. So in your opinion these are nice and loud? Might go to my local JB tomorrow morning and test them out. Only worry is I was reading in a review the noise cancellation on these ones aren't as good as some of the competition

    • Not sure how good is quiet good if it leaks sound

    • For anyone interested I went in to JB hi Fi blacktown this morning and they had the wh10000mx at the sale price that was posted the other day so picked up one think they still had a couple left as well maybe.

  • Can anyone tell me what they personally think of the Sony XB50BS (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/headphones-dj/headphones/sony/sony…)

When are Sony going to stock the XB950N1's? That's what I'm waiting for

  • ZX770 are pretty good headphones, though that's about what they're worth. Picked up mine for around $100 from Costco about 4 years ago and can't see how they'd still sell for anything more than $150 since the release of the QC35 and the wave of high quality Bluetooth NC headphones that followed since.

  • ZX770 Taken down

    • Thanks .. Updated.

      • Thank you! PS got a pair

  • 1000XM2 out of stock :((

    • Hey matr I just picked up a pair in Toowoomba they still have some pairs left.i got a set for $255.93

  • Damn ZX770, I was waiting till this morning to buy and I missed out :(

  • Got hear on 2 thanks. It’s a shame they not collapsible flat but with extra 7.5% off with gift cards and gst tax claim I’m going to do they should be about $200, which is good enough.

  • Why so cheap. Even cheaper with grey imports.

  • Thanks got h. Ear on 2. Lucky as the fine print if add on jb website for 40%off excludes the h. earon2 model.
