Comfy Durable Elasticky Home Shorts (No Board Shorts)

Realizing I need to stick up on some home shorts or two in one home and outdoor shorts. Open to anything just really good sturdy quality and very comfy to wear and sleep in.

So far best options are from rivers bought a few on sale I think $5 or $10.

Looking for more varieties main priority is they can withstand rigorous stretching and activities as a lot of my past shorts have not lasted the wrath of my ginormous thighs resulting in crotch rips.

I don't mind shopping or traveling physically in store to buy and try but generally right now any recommendations are welcomed and I will personally vet the selection with my criteria.

Worst case scenario I just buy 5 - 10 more rivers shorts add they are very sturdy but hoping maybe there are some hidden maybe other comfortable home or 2 in 1 going out shorts.

Delivery is a bonus but not necessary I feel like treating myself with a bit of shopping.

I am around a size XL - XXL for good measure forgot the inches

Shortlist of blacklist criteria

  • no board shorts
  • no denim shorts
  • Don't mind cargo pants but less baggy is better but not too tight I need room to move and ideally do squats or stretches in them
  • open to yoga pants but not sure how that will look on a fat guy who might want to walk around the neighborhood in them once in awhile
  • pockets are a must
  • zipper pockets would be legendary
  • build quality is the most important
  • open to all colours and designs but I prefer plain brown, black, blue, grey etc I am basically a retired old person in a near 30 year old persons body
  • open to "retirement" or comfy hiking clothing
  • not really into fashions and trends just quiet sturdy comfort
  • online option would be awesome
  • located in Sydney but always open to delivery
  • reiterating again nothing you can break doing highly ambitious stretches or house work or DIY home renovation in
  • nice to sleep in

I think that covers most of it.

Most I am willing to spend on a single short is probably $30-50 AUD.. nothing over $100 unless it is like indestructible and comfy.

Aiming for under $20, $10 is preferred, $5 would be awesome.

Looking to buy minimum 2-3 maybe up to 5-10 depending on how good it is.

  • Kirkland sport shorts are pretty damn comfy. They're soft and stretchy. I think it was around $20 although I'm yet to find them again at Costco due to their products coming in by batches

  • Uniqlo? they are generally quite comfy and cheap

For $20 ($70 elsewhere) I think these are the best shorts ever made and they fit most of your criteria. https://www.sds.com.au/strike-short/RV-R361318.html?dwvar_RV…

If youre between XL and XXL id get the XXL as they run a little slim

I was recommended these by a few of my friends who do MMA so they should last (made with rip-stop so theyre pretty much indestructible). They also have a zippered pocket and are super stretchy if needed.

    Heres the description:

    Fabric: 100% Polyester two-way stretch

Detail: 16 Outseam, Mechanical stretch woven rip stop training pull on short, Moisture wicking, Wrap out bound elastic comfort quick dry exposed RVCA VA engineered waist band.
