  I had a strap break after a month on a fossil watch, and they refused to replace it because it was an 'accessory'. It's a pretty fundamental part to be an accessory. I'd recommend avoiding even at this price.

  I'm not really into Fossil - too fashiony for me. But the build quality is actually pretty decent. Have a look online though because you will find a lot of the models on ebay cheaper. For example the Grant model in another colour way for $111.50

    Good find, though be careful about ebay sellers with zero feedback suddenly selling hundreds of watches worth hundreds of dollars.

  Trying to figure out why the FS5391P is 8mm thick and the others are 12mm?
  The strap(metal) seems the only difference?

    Sometimes it's just purely for aesthetics. Most buyers think that a thick watch implies strength and durability, but in reality, there is probably a small, space efficient movement in there with a larger spacer ring. Dress watches are always thinner to go under a cuff.

    Judging by the photo, the side on profile looks more than 8mm and it is likely a spec error on the listing. Sometimes manufacturers measure to the top of the case and not to the top of the crystal. The height of a domed crystal can add a few millimetres.
