I got my son a hat from Bunnings for $3 or $4. It is cotton with the flap. Anyway we lost it and I was going to get a new one.
Although they no longer seem to have them in stock.

Kmart sell a generic one for about $4
We were in Kmart yesterday (trying to get some half price eggs) but they only had generic caps with no flap. The neck flap is the differentiator.
