  • Are these actually effective? Dad got one two weeks ago and I didn't take it seriously.

      Are these actually effective?

      not really.

      • Actually they're pretty effective, more effective than regular string floss.

The WF group had a 74.4% reduction in whole mouth plaque and 81.6% for approximal plaque compared to 57.7% and 63.4% for the SF group, respectively (p < 0.001). The differences between the groups showed the water flosser was 29% more effective than string floss for overall plaque removal and approximal surfaces specifically (p < 0.001).

I bought one and it's better than not flossing for sure.

Interdental brushes might be more effective and cheaper

    • I bought it and I think it works ok.

    • Yes they are. Not as effective as glossing better more effective then doing nothing

This suits people that don't like flossing with the string

    i say no bargain

    • That post said $140 is the regular price, so this is simply an advertisement for Costco.

    • Exactly, I bought one for $110 as well.

      • Same

  • I have one and they are quiet effective. Worth the money and dentist also recommended it.

  • Why not buying a Chinese one from ebay for 50$? I have one, it has a bigger tank and works as well and Waterpick (I had one for 8 years in the past, great thing for keeping gums in good shape).

    • Any chance of a link?

  • I’d probably buy this, but Costco.

    • Doesn't include nano flosser, travel case etc

  • These were $110 a couple weeks ago we picked up one from Costco, so not really a deal

  • Also good for kids as the nano is same unit as the waterpik kids unit especially if they have braces etc

  • You can buy ones that attach to your bathroom tap from Amazon for about $30, they are way better than the waterpiks
