Recommend a Universal Travel Adapter

Can anybody please recommend a good quality adapter while travelling internationally. I need it soon, so anything sourced locally would be better.

The idea is to use this at a plug point and then use a power strip to charge all electronics. USB ports are not a must.

Thanks in advance.

  • I use one of these: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/315070
but you are at the mercy of when Aldi next sell it

    • Yes… Unfortunately I missed that one during the last sale. I did end up going to Aldi, but it was sold out at my local.

    • nice. pity about the share max amp for usb.

  • Bought mine from Bunnings. It's expensive, but I needed it soon and it felt quite sturdy. There are cheaper ones available if you don't need all 3 plugs.
I don't recommend the cheap ebay ones. Got one for $10 but it was made of flimsy plastic and didn't feel safe to use.

  • I can't search now but just give you ideas do not buy cheap stuff when it's about electricity. Once I bought $8 multi adaptor from ebay with 4 USB and it was super hot almost burning (used 2 USB out of 4). Just dont.

  • Stay away from zapal they sell rubbish quality items

  • Thanks for the suggestions so far… Yes I have tried those cheaper ones sliding ones but they only last a while.

  • can be had for cheaper (around ~$40-50), http://www.belkin.com/au/p/P-BST201/
