Please Recommend a New Budget Refrigerator

Hello fellow people!

My fridge recently started to leak- I'm not sure what liquid it is, but it seems to be coming from the refrigerator. The liquid is clear and cool to the touch, and the temperature within the fridge is quite high. The fridge is 12 years old, so it has become time to buy a new one anyways.

There are some requirements though. It cannot be taller than 170cm, and preferably around 70cm wide. There is some leeway for both length and height, but by about a few cm. It has to be cheap too ;)

I currently reside in Sydney, so deals that are in NSW would be preferable.

My kimchi is going sour - so recommend me something quick!

Thanks

  • whats the capacity of your current fridge? Should be on a label inside the fridge (without the d when spelled in full i.e refrigerator).
Just google around for similar sized fridges - it's not rocket science.

  • Why do people always write "recommend me" on Ozbargain forums? Unless you are after a recommendation for someone besides yourself, "me is unnecessary- it is a given.

Checking, I see it's the standard Google phraseology, but it looks clumsy to me.

    • Language evolves and it it's easy to understand, hence google

  • Hi,

Just been going through the very same thing looking at fridges.

    I'm looking at: $677
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/home-appliances/all-fridges/beko/b…

    Product Height (mm) - 1720.0
    Product Width (mm) - 700.0
    Product Depth (mm) - 660.0

    Also:
    Beko Product Warranty Extension
    to 5 Year Warranty:

    • 407 Litres is tiny

      • Larger than my current 400.

        • Just keep in mind the internal layout of each fridge. The numbers you are quoting are "raw".

For Example a 400L fridge with 3 shelves wont hold as much as one with 4 shelves.

If in the 3 Shelf fridge you have big gaps between your shelves you may not be able to hold the same stuff

I hope you get the concept.

No worries, I'll look out for that.
