24"+ Monitor Recommendations

I've been looking for a 24" or larger IPS Monitor and my budget is approximately $200. It will mainly be for everyday usage.

Currently looking at the Dell P2417H and hoping to get a refurbished one for $159.

ViewSonic VX-2476 and I've found it for $199 at MWave.

Or the AOC I2579VM and I've found it for around $229.

If you have any recommendations, or any other opinions please share!

  • Dell is probably the best bet give the warranty

  • Dell.

  • Yeah, if you're happy getting a used one, get the Dell.
Dell are very good, but usually not worth the price premium, so if happy to go refurb, then do it.

    • If you are wanting bigger. Heres a 27" Viewsonic IPS, isn't height-adjustable, though.

      • dam this is tempting, what would be the obvious differences when compared to the dell one?

        • +1

          Main differences:
The Viewsonic has a higher brightness 300cd/m2 vs 250cd/m2.
The Dell has DP, HDMI, VGA and USB hub. The Viewsonic has HDMI, VGA and 3.5mm audio out.
The Dell is height adjustable, Viewsonic not.
The Viewsonic does not list its colour gamut, but would still be good (being IPS). The Dell's is 82%.
Viewsonic has 3 year warranty, the Dell has just 1 year (refurb).

        • @StuBalls: thanks for your help so far dude! do you personally own the viewsonic one?

          @zero23:
No, sorry, I haven't seen this model is person, but we have a few Viewsonics at work and they have never had any problems.

  • Dell has the best warranty in the market but refurbs only get 12 months.
