Difference between The Two Pages in OzBargain

whats the difference between
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals and https://www.ozbargain.com.au/

Doesn't the main https://www.ozbargain.com.au/ show all the new deals? The two pages land on different bargains

New deals is for all deals posted, the main page is for front page deals that have voting above a certain threshold.

      Too fast

      • But not too furious

    • Not sure if everyone knows, this threshold can be changed. I changed mine to 5. By default it is 15 I think.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals shows every deal posted in chronological order

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/ shows only popular "front page" deals in chronological order

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals shows every deal posted in chronological order

Apparently without any New Forum Topics on the right-hand side. Does anyone have a remedy for that please?

You can individually change your settings so that the main page has a voting threshold of zero, which would show up all deals, similar to the other page but with the updated front page forum topics. Go to "my account/settings/edit/deals" and change the slider to adjust your threshold.

      • Thank you.

    It’s obvious
    One has newly posted deals
The other has the best upvoted deals

for every deal posted to Ozbargain

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/

the highlights - deals above a certain positive vote I believe threshold

  • Just in case your question wasn't answered yet, the second only shows votes above a cap - normally 25 but occasionally can be less, a mathematical relationship on votes/minute.

First one shows everything, newest first.

  • "deals"

But seriously, did you not see https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/370905?
