Slice them, burn them, skewer them, and launch them - no matter how you get it done, orcs must die in this fantasy team action tower defense game from Robot Entertainment.

Play as the powerful War Mage, magical Sorceress, or brutal Blackpaw. Unlock a lineup of other awesome heroes, each with unique powers and abilities. Go at it alone or in teams of three. Whatever you do, just don’t let those ugly, greedy, vicious green orcs into your Rift!

Battle your enemies across multiple modes and difficulty levels. Play with your friends or against them! Will you roast orcs in pits of lava, pound them flat with ceiling traps, or freeze and shatter them with a slash? No matter the weapons and traps you choose, you’re sure to have an orc-killing blast!

    Can't speak for PS4 but OMD2 is super fun on PC

      This is Orcs Must Die Unchained it's the third game in the series, free on PC too. It's basically the 2nd game but free to play with a bunch of the gameplay gated behind paywalls. It's far cheaper to just buy OMD2 on sale than to get invested in this one.

        Well there are a lot of Free To Play games, we should have a post for all of them? I don't think so, nor should this post exist as it isn't a Deal or a Bargain, it is the going rate for the game.

    Does this have micro transactions where you have to buy more levels etc? Is it a full game?

    EDIT: Also, do I need a PSN sub to play this game?

      They do sell bundles, of new characters, gold and skulls to buy things with, and battle passes that do something too.

    This has been free since its introduction to PSN back in July of last year. Not a deal, just a free to play game.

    It's also been available on Steam since last April. It currently holds Mixed user rating on Steam.

    It's a fun co-op tower defense best played with friends. If you enjoy it you may also enjoy Dungeon Defenders 2 which is another free to play hero/tower defense although Orcs Must Die is a more casual version so it plays a lot faster paced.
