Hello Ozbargainers,

I was wondering where do you buy your spare lightning connectors?

Cheers!

  • Wherever I can get a good quality brand at a clearance price :)

    I don't.
Apple's one of the biggest money pits in my opinion. But if you are tied into the ecosystem not much you can do.

If you mean the literal lightning jack then here is pretty reputable, there might be cheaper versions on Ali/eBay not too sure on quality for those though.

i only check out the prices when theres a storm

  • What do you mean by lightning connector? Assuming you mean the cables generally cheap cables will not last long. Try Anker cables.

  • If you mean charging cables, I buy the Laser ones from Big W; thus far they've been not good.

In an attempt to improve their durability I've bought some silicon self sealing tape in the hopes that it will mean that they won't separate from the cord and the charging head.

I don't hold high hopes, but you get 2 2-meter cables for $10, so it's not bad value if I can resolve the durability problem.

  • Yep - the charging cables. the $20 ones from coles/woolworth lasts about 8 - 10 months but I have never retained a receipt to return one.

  • Ebay, I buy the extra long ones, several at a time for spares.

  • Thanks, the ebay ones hardly last a month - any recommended vendors ?

  • Crazy cables lasts very long for what these cost.

  • Target and Kmart have a lot of cables. No knowledge about quality though.
