Food Delivery Company Experience

Hi oz bargainers, i am writing this topic because of recent experience with uber eat.
I work in kitchen and get order from delivery company call uber eat. Food was packed and deliver. After half hour same order came and older order cancel and new order came with same food and again deliver by another driver.
I called them and they said do not worry you will be paid for both orders 1 will be paid by uber.

If u want 2 same food order at single price paid, simply u need lie to uber eat food still not deliver and uber eat will pay 2nd order for u.it call bad carma but who care this uber eat get 35% commission from small business,where driver is covered by delivery fees.

    Wow, 35% I feel bad for using it now. If only the restaurants would offer a discount for pickup customers.

      to do pick up, you'll need to do some research into what their contact number, you'll need to call them and make the order.
      kinda simple.

        I meant discount. I order menulog and get 4% cashback. Deliveryhero had 9th order free at most places (that's 12.5% off + cashrewards). If the restaurant had a loyalty card that gave me the same discount I would buy direct. Its a shame most restaurant owners can pay 35% commision but can't offer a lower price to regulars aka membership/loyalty card holders.

          Discounts are generally to get fresh business in, to get customers who wouldn't have otherwise ordered from you (entertainment book etc). Marketing dollars indirectly put into discounts.

          People paying full price are what pays the bills. If you're a regular, and paying full price, there's no reason to discount except free prawn crackers or free soft drink.

          @Spackbace: True but don't most people order from the same restaurants anyways? Hell, the food I order is the same every time so much so I just press reorder and get paid 4% to avoid the hassle of calling them, waiting on the line, then yelling because there is too much noise at the restaurant and they can't hear me.

          I assumed it was 7-10% commission but I can't support the apps if they are charging 35%.

      Some restaurants jack up their prices on Uber Eats to cover the cost.

    Or maybe they accidentally refreshed the page and the same order went through, it could be an innocent mistake.

      Nope 2nd order came after order delivered and cancel. It could happen driver delivered wrong address. But as far I am looking there is hole in system and if you want take advantage of it, u might go hell for bad carma atleast you will get free meal:))).
