PSA: Don't Use Sendle for Amazon Returns

I had to return a pair of the Anker Soundbuds to Amazon Australia after they begun to play up after 2 days use (I think a wire was loose. They kept turning off and/or disconnecting from Bluetooth).

Any who, I was at work which isn't near an Auspost, so I decided to just send the goods back via Sendle (Amazon does not provide free return postage but they do re-emburse it).

Turns out that this is a bad idea as our friends at Couriers Please won't simply drop off your parcel.

Fingers crossed that they wait for more than 3 seconds to deliver the package tomorrow… But I just thought I'd let y'all know.

I was at work which isn't near an Auspost,

should find a job a near an auspost

    • Or you could book through Mypost and pay $5-6 extra for them to pick it up from your work.

    • Or if you can get to a Parcel Locker which is available 24/7, you can send a parcel through them

  • You are lucky it's not TNT. They charge like $30 for re-delivery. Couriers Please would do it 3 times for free and then get you to collect from their depot? Not sure. Never been away more than 3 times.

Shipped something with TNT that cost me $17 to ship and ended up with $92.30 in redelivery fees. Never again.

    • That's just criminal, even if you write on it leave at the front door ect they don't do it its bullshit

      • If you call them they say the driver believed there was no safe place to leave it on the property.

  • You need to put a "leave at" sticker on it for it to be dropped off at the depot without them having to wait for it

  • I've had nothing but trouble with Couriers Please in my area. Fastway isn't much better. I think that the problem is that they're franchise models, so it totally depends on the operator who owns your area.

Couriers Please almost never actually delivers anything to me. They claim they attempted delivery (although they didn't) and leave it somewhere for me to go pick up. Fastway does things like marking a parcel as delivered but not actually delivering until a day or two later. I presume they do that to make their stats look better, especially on contracts like with Amazon.
