Combining Virgin Airline Vouchers to Save on Flights

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone might be able to give me a few pointers for maximising my savings on buying 2 return trips to hobart for my honeymoon in July. Total cost will be about $860 full price- 10%= $774

We need to take a specific flight, which means that our best way of achieving savings is by using a 10% discount code, and then paying with Virgin Australia Gift Vouchers.

Have any of you done this before? If so, what was your experience with it? I'm specifically interested in finding out if you were able to use multiple vouchers for a single booking, and where/ how you purchased these to maximise your savings.

Thanks in advance.

  • Pretty sure you can only use 1 voucher per booking.

If you had two vouchers, you could book you and your partner's flight under different bookings.

Also someone's Amex $400 credit for $300 could potentially save you some money.

Don't forget Cashrewards cashback as well.

  • I have 2 virgin domestic flight vouchers from my credit card I’m looking to offload - I sent you a PM

  • You could both sign up to this CC for $225 fee and after spending $500 get 40,000 Velocity points + free return domestic airfare. Total coming to $450 for 2x ppl return.

  • The CC velocity points hack is a good idea Knobbs, and I wish that we'd started planning this earlier so that we could apply for the card, and get the fares in time to book 60 days in advance :(

Given that Chilly has some flight vouchers, we might be able to work something out there- just have to see if the times line up.

Thanks for confirming the 1 voucher per booking as well BL5965…I'd seen the condition on the back of a voucher at woolies but didn't know if the condition was enforced.
