  • That chart has misleading items:
total body protectant - probably a fancy way of saying a very weak synthetic liquid wax. Doesn't make sense if they're asking an extra $3 for carnauba spray wax.
triple foam polish - this would just be the soap foam. There's no polishing done.
soft cloth wash - no one washes their car with a cloth. It would just be a microfibre wash mitt/sponge.
power dry - is this just another way of saying blow dry? I can't imagine this working effectively on cars that aren't well waxed. Plus, you'd still have water in your door jambs.

If you have used this service, perhaps you can shine some light on these issues? How clean were your rims after the wash?

It is a decent car wash but nothing amazing, plenty of sales speak. They use microfibre on their washing arms and spinners which is good but of course once they get everyone else's dirt in them you will still get micro scratches and swirls.
Yes, it is a blow dry which mostly works but of course there will be water in door jambs and under sills that aren't exposed, etc. Still tends to save you using a drying towel on 90% of your exposed paint work.
RE: rims, they were clean but not perfect - I am sure if you've left months of brake dust to build up then it would struggle.
      Free vacs are good.

      • Thanks for the info. That chart was useless as it doesn't even say that it's an automated wash. Prices make sense now. If you don't care about paint scratches, then I suppose it's ok.
