It really pisses me off when I see this shitpost on the very first comment..

      • +5

        He dunny it again

    • +2

Actually.. I wouldn't rate Kleenex that high.. Don't think many ozbargainers do either.. Learnt the hard way.

      • +8

Kleenex is dodgy as, they don't advertise their ply count, so I suspect its 2ply

        • Kleenex sold at Costco is of better quality than the Kleenex sold at Coles.

        • @coco1458: Even that is rubbish though. So it isn't saying much.

        • It’s actually one ply

    • I gotta try me some of that who gives a crap

    • I didn't trust that review as soon as I read they gave Kleenex 5 stars for Strength & quality.

If this stuff isn't recycled then it is fairly unethical to be advertising it.

    • +1

      yeah nah

  • +1

    This stuff is the shit.

    It’s a good product.

I am almost positive I paid $8 for it a few weeks ago. Seems the same product as the Coles and Woolies versions for $8.50

The wife prefers Quilton. Me, I prefer whatever's cheaper.

    • The wife loves her bum like Quilton. You love your wallet and money in there ;)

      • He loves he wallet and money in his wife's bum???
        Well, each to their own!

        • It's 2018 we are all accepting of people and their uniquities :)

    • Same here, whenever I bought Kleenex or Sorbent while they're on sale, I got the sh|ts from her …

    • David Warner prefers sandpaper.

  • +1

It's been $8 for a while now. Great that it's always cheap!!

I think it's the same as Quilton and I won't pay more for Quilton.

Put them side by side in a blind test and you'd be hard pressed to notice.

    • You'd have to press hard.

  • $7 24 pack 3 play Emporia @ Big W

    • +5

Not a direct comparison, Emporia is 10x10, Aldi/Quilton is 11x10

May seem insignificant, but can be the difference to a great or not so great Taco Tuesday.

  • this is something i lack

  • I prefer their 2 ply. Who doesn't double up?

    • i triple up.
      6 ply for life

      • Buy single ply in that case. Must be free?

        • Yeah a true Ozbargainer steals the one ply rolls from public places.

Seriously, I'd have better luck with paper. They can just display them as they do and know no-one will take them haha

  • One word…DON'T….Quilton is far superior to this product. You pay for what you get in date roll.

    • The expensive one yes. Their normal one is average

    • +1

Try it before you knock it. Aldi 3ply is far superior to their 2 ply offerings.

  • +1

This is the best value for money toilet paper at all day everyday price! Even better now with an extra 5.77% off.

  • So is this a permanent new price or is it just a sale promotional price?

    • Permanent

      • not permanent- only valid for 3 more days

        • It's been $8 for months now, what makes you think it'll go back?

        • @placard: I'm only going by what the aldi website says

  • This has lower wet strength than the Quilton, a slight chance you might touch the wet stuff you are wiping off.

    • +4

I've "gone" for 51 years without needing to know what "wet strength" is. It doesn't really come up in everyday or even non-everyday conversation. Thanks OzBargain!

  • This TP isn't as good as Quilton. It's not terrible, just not as good. I actually like the Coles brand and find that pretty good (both quality and value for money wise).

    • I feel like Ozbargain should conduct proper tests on this subject.

      • We blindly trust Choice to do the work for us.

  • Emporia 4 ply FTW.

Although, I must admit Quilton 3 ply is quite good.

Happy with either, but I stocked up 1 years worth with Emporia 4 ply when it was $2.xx for a 6 pack. Still have another few months worth.

  • Perfect, thanks OP! Just in time, I had a massive spicy Vindaloo last night, I'll need a lot of TP for the aftermath.

    • +6

There's a reason "in da loo" is in Vindaloo.

  • Have noticed the quality on these have dropped big the last few months. Too rough and breakable. Gone back to woolies or coles 8.50 who maintained their quality. Same with their garbage bags. Aldi cheaping out.

  • I have more confidence in using corporate recycled office paper in the form of single ply. Delsey Toilet Tissue (or equivalent Coles or Woolies version)

  • So there is 3 levels of quality. nSoft, Super soft , and Oops!

    • Theres actually 4 levels
      nSoft,
      Super soft
      Oops

      and

      Public school

  • Hmmm I don't know, this discounted toilet paper doesn't fill me with Confidence

  • Who here uses 1 ply?

  • Are people confident this will not tear when wiping your crack. Nobody likes smelly fingers.

  • +2

I recently bought one and not been super pleased with it. Not as soft as Quilton. I'm a big fan of ALDI products but not this one.
