    Too expensive

Haha, what would you pay? It's not Kmart.

The fact that someone would spend $180 on a (drawstring) backpack like this is unbelievable.
However, seems you have the cheapest price from a quick look.

Edit: Nope some colours are $220. Wow.

    • So kids that grew up with everything plain desperately wanted Billabong backpacks, are now parents and have provided their children with Billabong backpacks, who now want plain backpacks and are willing to pay for the "simplicity" and "quality".

      • Haha yeah but in this case nothing sets this apart from a $19 Kmart bag. At least the Billabong backpacks had a bit of life to them. These just look drab.

And to add insult to injury, it costs much more than the other backpacks did in the first place!

Each to their own. I wouldn't buy a $5k handbag either… but some people will. There are different market segments and different value propositions within each.

        • @vankatwijk:

Hipster paraphernalia is incredibly short lived. The trend for non-trendy items by definition kills those items as soon as they become popular.

@LoopyLou: You're eating the bait - You'll never win this. Everyone knows deep down that $180 is stupidly expensive for a $15 chinese backpack but for some people, fake likes, instagram selfies with said item and false retail therapy are too strong for their minds.

I bought the 13" version on special from Surfstitch in 2015 for $33.26…

      You got a great deal!

  • free delivery? almost good.

    • Sorry, can't do free delivery when we're not making money.

      • good to know :)

        • Happy to help

  • the straps are not leather and peel off quick quickly if this is going to be your everyday bag. I own an older version where the straps are made from leather but i'm not sure if they're produced any longer.

also, for Herschel "Australian warranty" is meaningless as the you'll have to contact the retailer you bought it from (rushfaster in this case) for any claims. This is no different from buying from say, an overseas retailer. As warranty is not centralised, each retailer is free to set their own policy and often differs quite widely.

i own many Herschel products (love their prints!) and think they're quite well-constructed (just not the ones with fake leather!) but do not think they are worth the RRP.

    • If you buy it from an O/S retailer, you'll have to send it back to them internationally at your cost and then pay for it to come back to australia at your cost. Australian warranties are handled by Rushfaster on behalf of Herschel in Australia. It's far cheaper to deal with us for your warranty if of course you bought it from us.

  • I didn’t purchase this model but another Herschel backpack and couldn’t be happier with rushfaster. I’m not associated, but just a happy returning customer. Very efficient with delivery and good prices since like others on here, I like a good bargain.

    • Thanks for the kind words!! You should check the site out atm! Huge sale.

  • These are $45 at my local TK Maxx.

    • You sure they're real? That's below cost.

  • Purchased a Mission Workshop Sanction backpack (hardcore tech nerd and designer) last week from RF. Can’t speak for thIS bag but like gloomyash could not have been happier with Rushfaster.

    • Really appreciate the order and thanks for the kind words!!

      • No worries. You saved me a trip to SF :)

  • Overpriced Hipster Backpack

    • Overpriced for non-hipsters. Cheap for hipsters. ;-)
