In the news yesterday about being fined by the government ye no thanks

    Try making the title… Better

  • I don't support coverups, plus this should be in the forums

  • So if you bought something faulty you'll get a replacement? Right …

I have no sympathy to the company. Just wanna make sure fellow Ozbargainers wont lose their potential entitlements ;D

Thermomix had to be dragged kicking and screaming into court in order to replace the faulty units. They screamed almost as loud as their customers who were splashed with boiling sticky liquid.

How is this a deal, its just news on a court ruling

Wow - they sold 9443 of these +$2000 blenders in 54 days (174 a day) - Australia really is the lucky country.

    • of coz, we are all millionaire flippin' $7 trillion dollar housing market

    • That's what surprised me the most, the sales figures! Who has $2k just kicking around for a blender/cooker all in one unit? Presumably these people already had food processors, ovens, microwaves, pots, etc that they didn't discard when they got their Thermomix.

Plus, to buy a Thermomix you can't just go to a store or order online. Instead you must book a 'Thermomix consultant' (aka salesperson) to visit your house, demonstrate the device, then give you that really awkward feeling when you want to say 'no thanks'.

No wonder we're so busy upgrading the size of your houses: we need to fit all the redundant stuff we buy.

For some homemakers, owning it upgrades their ego and gives appearance of a " i'm a pro super busy mum and I look good too"

    • Probably 174 sold to the consultants per day

Listed in Automotive? What does Thermomix and cars have in common? Hmm…Let me think..Probably the result of using a thermomix and opening a car radiator cap is the same??

    • Just an Ozbargain bug — moving stuff from deals to forums occassionaly lands it into the Automotive forum.

Now moved to home / garden
