Oporto Flame Rewards Changing, 'Gold' Level Needed for Free Birthday Meal

Just got an email stating Flame Rewards are getting a revamp. There are now several 'levels'.
Gone is the free birthday meal for lower levels, and while I never got the whole dollars to points conversion system I'm guessing that also suddenly got worse as well.

'Orange' Status:
$1 credit for every $20 spent.
10% off birthday gift.

'Silver' Status:
$1 credit for every $17 spent.
15% off birthday gift.

'Gold' Status:
$1 credit for every $15 spent.
Free meal birthday gift.

'Platinum' Status:
$1 for every $12 spent.
$20 credit birthday gift.
One-off $20 credit for actually reaching Platinum level.
Access to 'exclusive offers & events'.

Edit: Just got a new email saying the new system/reards app is live, and existing card holders get Gold status free for 6 months.

    Hardly a secret if every Flame Rewards member got the email, and changing 'free' to 'not free' would only just accelerate its dissemination, especially on OzBargain.

  how do you get to 'Platinum' Status?
  useless email because it doesn't tell us how to get to the highest status…………..

    I had around $40 reward dollars before this and a couple of days ago they emailed saying that im a Platinum member. I scan my rewards card at Oportos around 2/3 a month. When my co-workers also buy oportos they also scan my card. So a total of around 4/5 scans a month.
