Hi Guys, Anywhere to Get PS TV There Days Now?

The latest deal I can find is about 3 years ago, just wondering if I can still get them in a clearance price like $70-80?? The price on Gumtree is going like $200

    google

  • They're not made anymore, therefore almost impossible to find.
EB Games selles them preowned, but it's very rare to find them, but I still check the website every few weeks and they pop up now and again, although in rural country stores I have no desire to drive to.

I have one that I am no longer using (haven't used for roughly 4 years, used once since buying lol) Where are you located? I'm happy to let it go for $80

I am in Sydney NSW, as long as it works, I am happy to take it for $80

      • I'm also in Sydney. I'll dust it off and test it tonight and let you know. I'm pretty sure it still works but will double check

They still look to be available on amazon for well under $200 new (about AUD$100 shipped): https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-TV-vita/dp/B00KVMHSUM/

Make sure you get one on firmware 3.60 if you'd like to hack it (which allows you to patch the whitelist and run vita games that wont normally play on PSTV) as well as all the other goodness.
New units will all be well under 3.60 as they stopped making them before that firmware was released.

There is a known 3.67/3.68 exploit but it likely wont be released for some time.

    • How can you tell whether it's on 3.60 or below? Thought I had found one for sale on Gumtree/FB but it had already been sold so I am buying it from Amazon. Thanks for the suggestion btw.

  • I asked a question about this recently.

In the end my best bet turned out to be purchasing one via Amazon US for 65 USD plus 8~ shipping for a total of $95 AUDish. Which is only a little bit more than eBay/preowned EBgames since they raised their prices.

Right when I was trying to buy mine the price also went up on Amazon by $5 so I'd expect it to probably keep rising.

I did have to buy an power adapter for US>AUD for about $10, which did turn out to to pointless as I found out after I brought it I could have used the cable that came with the Steam Link I got from the EBGames deal.

Another deal I see around a lot which could help would be the Xiaomi power strips with different ports.

Otherwise you can just go to officeworks or someplace similar and grab an adapter.

  • I bought one new off eBay two years ago. Ran whitelist hack. It's a great collectable item. Very good for portability
