Linen or Flanelette Pyjama Set - Looking for Recommendations?

Title says it all.
Looking for a flanelette pyjama set coming into winter. Plain coloured (grey/white/light blue) preferably, long sleeve top (button up or not) and loose long pants.
Flanelette or linen would be fine.

I bought some from Cotton On last year and they're already wearing thin - looking for something sturdy, comfortable, warm and durable.

  • I thought linen was supposed to be light, coarse but airy? Generally speaking, you would buy linen sheets and PJ's for the summer and flannel for the winter.

  • best n less

  • Linen clothes are non stretchy and can be uncomfortable to wear as PJs (if you move when you sleep). Eg if you move your knee up the fabric will cut into the top of your leg and leave your lower back/butt exposed.

Keep an eye out for the Aldi winter stuff. The thermal pants make excellent sleeping pants - they hug your skin so there's no folds or lumps that can rub against you and be annoying - doesn't feel like you're wearing anything. They stay put - they don't ride up your leg and leave you cold. And they're warm! The thermal tops I find too hot to be comfortable, but if you get cold more on your top than your bottom then you might like to try it (they come in sets anyway).

  • +1

I still can't wrap my head around Pyjamas as a concept - I can only sleep nude. If you're cold, throw on an extra blanket. Wearing clothes of any kind in bed feels so uncomfortable I don't know how people get a good night's sleep like that. Not to mention it's a lot healthier for your junk to have airflow for 8 hours per night…

    • I can understand why someone would if they still live at home, that's where the habit comes from, but as soon as I moved out of home I went nude, I immediately converted my husband to nude sleeping as well when we started living together too. OP obviously doesn't still live with his parents though so he has no excuse! Try it OP! (Though I will admit that actually getting out of bed nude in the dead of winter can be a shock)

  • Save money - sleep nekkid.

  • Silk pyjamas, my good man!

  • Any tk maxx store and you will find great last season's winter pjs
