Cheapest all day parking Sydney CBD weekday

Hi all, we normally go on the weekend, flat rate at the Citigate hotel is pretty good at $15.
However we need to go today to the Aquarium and was wondering if anyone knows of any carpark with good allday rate around Darling Harbour or Town Hall?
Any help would be very much appreciated :)

  • Sorry, but Sydney CBD parting is atrociously expensive - especially during the weekday. Imo, find a carpark on a perimeter station and take the train in.

Sorry, hope someone has better advice

  • Would this iphone app help?

  • No worries Davo1111, thanks for replying. They are expensive, but with two kids, most of the times it's easier & more convenient to use the car than public transport.

llama, unfortunately we don't have an iPhone (lol we're in the minority). Hopefully someone who has one would be able to help :) Thank you for your reply :)

    Found this…

Important note: To receive this discount you need to get your parking ticket validated at the Sydney Aquarium Admissions counter. There are no full time on-site parking attendants at any of the car parks, so if your parking ticket is not validated the discount rate will not apply. This discount only applies to the car parks specified.
*All prices are subject to change at any time, and include GST.
    * This offer is subject to availability of parking spaces and only applies to the parking stations mentioned above.

Just make sure you get your parking ticket validated - I think a barcode gets printed on it which the machines at the parking station can read and apply the discounted rate.

    Have fun.

    • Although it doesn't say on that page, wouldn't you think that you'd have to buy a ticket into Sydney Aquarium before they would be willing to validate your ticket?

      • Yup, you have to, so this deal is brilliant for people who wants to go Aquarium during the week. But when you think about how much some carparks charge for dayrate, some can be as high as $72, if you purchase adult admission to Aquarium for $36 (cheaper for concession or student perhaps), this way you can save up to $36 if you're planning to spend the whole day there.

    • Brilliant, why didn't I think of checking the Aquarium website? Thanks heaps ericmclee, we didn't go today coz of the parking cost, was gonna wait till the weekend, but now we can go tomorrow and avoid weekend crowd. Cheers :)

No problems…hope you had a nice time.

We had the same scenario with a visit to the Powerhouse Museum. You can park at the Entertainment Centre Carpark for $12 or $12.50, again as long as your parking ticket is validated by the Museum. Otherwise you may be up for $28 for the full day.
