    wow, google

    • Thanks. Usiing this I think I should be ok with 10gb for 720p.
      60 minutes x 3 x 40 MB = 7200MB

      Just need to get tripod

      Thanks

Laptop, phone with large micro SD card, tablet with micro SD card, gopro, knock off go pro, someone's desktop with cam if u get desperate .. honestly anything with a camera heck a dash cam might even do the trick if you need to and already has in built time stamp.

If u have access to WiFi then a cheap security camera like a Xiao fang might be able to do the trick with a bit of tinkering.

But yeah knock off camera might be best or cheap drone maybe which ever you can find cheaper.. I dunno I am kinda er "busy" right now he he he he

What's the topic? 3hrs is a long time.

  • Bit of a less straight forward setup, but a Laptop, Elgato Cam Link, any camera with HDMI output.

    • Interesting device. Have had one?

I am trying Xiaomi Xiao fang today and getting an tripod for iphone.
As long I hv about 10gb should be enough with 720p

      • I don't know why my comment above was negged but a decent camera and a microphone is the way to do this.

  • Someone at work improvised a phone 'tripod' the other day. Something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfe3pXfRlkU

  • You can use your laptop if you install something like screencast-o-matic or zoom for video conferencing

  • Your phone probably wont record continuously for 3 hours even if you had a big enough SD card but you can test this yourself.

    • Good point for testing it.

      • An hour of 1080p60 video recording on iPhone can take up anywhere from 5.4 GB (HEVC) to 11.7 GB (h.264). Lower resolution and frames per second will be less, 4K video shooting significantly more.

An iPhone with 36GB of free space should be a safe bet recording at 1080p. Give it a test.

Please, please, please get yourself a clip on microphone and test it out beforehand. There's nothing worse than trying to watch a presentation with audio that sounds like it was recorded from 3 postcodes away, somewhere between a spluttering smoker's cough and someone working their way through a large bag of chips.

    • This is so true.
Recording a video is one thing, but if you recording yourself from a distance, it won't sound good.
And since it is a presentation, the sound would be very important aspect.
