      Nope, can't say I've had any cable break on my headphones.

        I've had cords fray a lot when permanently plugged into my PC with the wire rubbing against a metal support all the time.

        Also, the head can detach itself from the cable component if you just yank it out all the time so I guess some sort of reinforcement is a positive in this case.

  Maybe these were just my pair, but the ones that i bought had a strong buzzing noise and so i had to return them.
