ANZ Black Rewards + CC Signup Sheet

Running out of CC signup bonuses to signup for so have narrowed it down to the ANZ Rewards Travel and ANZ Black Rewards. I know a fair few other people switch between the FF Black and Rewards so a question as to how they use the points from the Rewards card. Searching through the offering I can see you are able to transfer points out OR book flights from within ANZ's rewards site. There seemed to be quite a varying amount of points required for the same flights even on the same carrier. Are these comparable to transferring the points out and booking or is there some form of deal booking it within ANZ's rewards site?

After the signup bonus', lounge passes annual fees, it turns out at about $120 (my values) for the return flight on the Rewards Travel. Just wondering if any of the other ANZ reward program affeciantos could provide their input.

Also for others looking at getting into the CC signup game, attached is screen shot of some data on the current (I hope) offers out there. They may be slightly outdated so always check and never take it for granted.

  • Great summary - any chance you could upload it as a spreadsheet?
(sorry, haven't any experience in ANZ flight booking)

  • One that is missing is the Virgin High Flyer - it isn't bad if you can meet the strict spend requirements. Also the annual fee is $289 but you get a $129 virgin voucher.

The current signup bonus is 105k velocity, but it used to be 120k.

    • Yeah that is the one you have to spend $3k every month for the 1st three months isn't it? No way I can get that. I will add it in though. Unfortunate the 120k ended in April.

      • yeah also the spend excludes quite a few things.
I am doing it at the moment.
        105k still isn't bad.

        • Do you have some travel coming up soon or how are you getting the $9k spend up?

        • @knobbs:

I pay my rent on cc which helps :)

        • @bohn: Oh very nice deal you have there if you can pay rent on the CC. Keep that landlord haha

        • @knobbs: Many agency accept rent payment via Rental Rewards, it charges a fee but useful especially when meeting minimum spend considering rent takes up a high portion of monthly expenses for many.

    • +1
      • damn :<

  • I can see 'Rewards Travel Adventure' but no Travel Rewards or anything from ANZ with Velocity Points.
I'm currently on the lookout for something to boost my VFF points up to enough for a Business Class flight.

(although doesn't include sign up bonus or if annual fee discounted for first year)
