  • buy those THREE UK sim cards from so easy travel.

    it fits your requirement.

    • I need it for Australia.

      • it works in Australia.

        • It looks like just LycaMobile.

  • Do you not trust your visitor? When my relative visited I just activated one of those cheap SIMs and they put it in their phone.

    • I mean I don't really want to go sign up 4 sims. It not i not don't trust them.

      • Somebody has to provide ID. If you don't want to do it online maybe you can get the shop to do it for you.

Do you mean a sim where u don’t need id to activate? Sounds like something ASIO would be interested in…

    • I don't mind ID activate, can i do it multiple sims?

      • i think you can do 5 a year

i think you can do 5 a year

          Confirmed by my drug dealer

        • @TightBottom:
          which drugs?

        • Well already did 2 this year lmao. I guess some of them have to use data romaing. I mean they could always hotspot each other.

@MrEMC: I think it's actually 5 active SIMs at any time. The only telco that I've seen showing this condition is Optus which asks you declare how many active SIMs you have. No idea if anybody has actually been prevented from activating by the limit or what happens if you go over. You could ask to close down those 2 expired SIMs, then you'd have only 4 plus your own active.

          @greenpossum:

As an IT guy, I've got ALL the SIM cards in my name. Like, 4 postpaid on my personal account, and another 9ish on the work account. Add the seven assorted prepaid cards (mostly Amaysim, still sitting active but neglected in my drawer) and I'm absolutely sure I'm over the designated 5-SIM limit.

The telco can well ask how many you have active, but I've never had anything popup to say 'can't activate, too many'.

I'm sure ASIO is able to data-match for criminal researching eventually, but it's not like buying pseudoephidrine at the chemist with their realtime ID checking, or a hardcopy 100-point ID check for a gun licence, or even a firm-but-measured handshake 'verification' at the bikie clubhouse. SIM cards are a dime-a-dozen.

@Switchblade88: Thanks for the first hand info.

        • @Switchblade88:

That what I mean, pretty much I paying for all my close family mobile plan under one account right now and had no issues. Thanks for first hand experience.

Why do you need 4 sims? How many friends do you have coming? Or are you one of those insane people who switch carriers every month?

      • You can have as many sims cards as you like. After 5 active sims they're meant to ask you for more detailed ID information. I've never seen them ask for it though.

  • I looking for simcard where I can buy in store where require no sign up

No such thing, even prepaid need to be activated. So use yours or their details when you activate it.

Is it that hard to sign up with his/her passport?

    • This. Just make your visitor sign up for it.

      • I guess that possible.

I mean I have already gotten them one sim card from my sim card stash. It just when i give one of them one they all come asking. Lmao.

Already them, you can get them oustide.

        • I had an overseas friend in Australia not long ago and they had no issue getting their own prepaid sim for the month they were here.
