    expensive.

    • They are horribly overpriced in Australia. In the US, these sell for about US$100 at any discount footwear store (which are there many).

      • Yeah 100 USD which is around 131 AUD - not too far off the ~180 in this deal. And if you are considering the market for this shoe in australia is coooonsiderably lower than in the US, and the fact that they're manufactured by hand in the Dominican Republic, the price for australians to buy a pair is not all that crazy.

Every time I see some Timbs I always make sure they are made in the D.R. cause the China ones are not so good and at that price point you really want a good product.

  • US size?

  • Or is UK size?

  • Check Kogan for cheap Timberlands. Plus if you buy an ebay voucher for Kogan eg $10 for $30 off get it even cheaper. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/timberland-mens-6-premium-boots…. Mine arrived recently and looks original!

  • They're generally on sale max $169. Catch has them for $169+shipping and that's the normal price.

Yes they might be cheaper on Kogan and Catch however they are not authentic Timberland's. As indicated by Kogan's disclaimer "Kogan is not affiliated with the manufacturer. This product is an international model imported from distributors". These discount sites are often selling seconds that don't pass testing or are copies.

    • What's the quality difference between the real and fakes?

I brought my Kogan pair into a few retailers to compare. Can't see the difference. Boots look legit, box looks legit. Very happy with price.

They are not fakes, nor are they not authentic, nor seconds. It's illegal to sell fakes in Australia. The fines Kogan and Catch would be hit with wouldn't be worth it. They may be grey but that's like saying Timberland made in china boots sold in the US are different to those same made in china boots sold in Australia. And as far as I'm aware, Myer are not affiliated with the manufacturer either.
