I'm having a little trouble finding a cheap option to power these Jensen EHT-2 In-Ceiling Speakers speakers on the roof of an outdoor area.
Power Handling: 110 W RMS
Nom. Impedance: 6 Ohms
It will only be used to play audio from a TV. But all I can seem to find are huge AV receivers with more than 2 channels and more inputs then I could ever imagine using.
A car amp would work well if it were easy to power.
Any advice is appreciated.

if you wanna use a car amp, a small cheap pc power supply should do it nicely, you can find some amps from topping on ebay, 110w is awefully loud. you can also get away with less power amps if u dont want to drive all 110w.
Do you have a home theater amp with 2 zones? Could wire the outdoor TV to that and use it as the driver for the speakers.
It's a bit of wiring, but if you don't have to pay a sparky, it might be a better option?
Car amp is no good - the power supply you'll need is going to be huge to support the current draw when running under load.

According to the picture on this page of the back of the unit, https://musiconstage.com.au/skytec-spl1000mp3/ , it only uses 120w of power from mains, yet it makes 1000w, I think we just solved the worlds energy problem.

I’ve got a set of these and while they are fantastic, they’re not installed in the roof of the house.
I think you want to edit the title to Mains Powered Amp. For a moment I thought you wanted to connect mains power to the speaker. That would give you a huge buzz, at 50Hz to be exact. For a short while anyway.
